In the Diocese of Western North Carolina, The Church of the
Transfiguration is located in the beautiful Hickory Nut Gorge on
Highway 64 in Bat Cave. The Parish serves a diverse congregation made
up of year round residents, part-time residents, and visitors to the
area. Nearby Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Park, and several camp
grounds offer recreational activities for all. If you are
visiting the area or settling in our peaceful mountains, join us for
worship and fellowship. Dress is casual. |

The last Sunday of each month presents a special opportunity
for the 8:00 and the 10:00 folks to get together at our Early
Coffee Hour. Join us at 9:00 for refreshments between the
services so we can have a chance to visit together.
Come to our church breakfasts on the third Saturday of the
month. Join us for fellowship and a hearty breakfast of
grits, sausage, bacon, eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy .
. . YUM! 8:00 a.m. Donations go to Shepherds
Care community outreach.
The 2008 Bat Cave Arts and Crafts Fair and Low Country Boil was a
great success. All proceeds from the Fair go to outreach.
