Welcome to Our Friendly
Mountain Church
|
 |
Our
mission as the Church of the Transfiguration is to acknowledge Jesus
Christ as revealed to us in the Scriptures through worship, prayer,
and study, and to proclaim the Good News joyfully in a ministry of servanthood. |
In the Diocese of Western North Carolina, The Church of the
Transfiguration is located in the beautiful Hickory Nut Gorge on
Highway 64 in Bat Cave. The Parish serves a diverse congregation made
up of year round residents, part-time residents, and visitors to the
area. Nearby Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Park, and several camp
grounds offer recreational activities for all. If you are
visiting the area or settling in our peaceful mountains, join us for
worship and fellowship. Dress is casual. |

Mark Your Calendars!
The
TCW is having an Ice Cream Social instead of a coffee hour
on Sunday August 3rd after the 10am service. We will be
serving bowls of ice cream with your choice of toppings for $3.00.
Advance tickets will be sold so we have an idea how much ice cream
to supply.
On Sunday August 24th we will
have a coffee hour at 9 am. We encourage you to linger after
the service at 8 am for coffee and goodies and entice those
attending the 10 am service to arrive early for coffee and
goodies. We want to get to know each other better. See you Sunday
August 24th at 9 am.
